Mango Digital Pty Ltd (ABN 25 674 715 336) trading as Appetite Point of Sale
This End-User Policy explains how Appetite Point of Sale ("Appetite", "we", "us", "our") handles your information when you order from a restaurant using our platform.
If you have a question about your order, food, or refund, please contact the restaurant directly. If you have a question about the app or website itself, you can contact us at support@appetitepos.com.au.
Appetite is the technology platform that powers the ordering app or website you are using. The restaurant you are ordering from is our customer, and they use our platform to run their business.
Your contract for food, drinks, or any service you order is with the restaurant — not with Appetite. We provide the platform; the restaurant provides everything else.
Appetite is operated by Mango Digital Pty Ltd (ABN 25 674 715 336), an Australian company.
By continuing to use the restaurant's white-label app or online ordering website, you accept this End-User Policy. A link to this Policy is available on every page.
You also agree to the restaurant's own terms and conditions, which govern your order with them. Look for these on the restaurant's app or website. If you cannot find them, ask the restaurant.
If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the app or website.
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order through any Appetite-powered app or website.
Alcohol cannot be ordered online through any Appetite-powered platform. Alcohol may only be served in-store by restaurants holding a valid liquor licence, in accordance with applicable laws.
When you place an order through an Appetite-powered app or website, we collect the following information on behalf of the restaurant:
We may collect your email address only if you choose to provide it (for example, during account setup or to receive a receipt).
We use your information on the restaurant's behalf to:
We do not use your personal information to market Appetite's own products or services to you.
When you place an order, you may be automatically opted in to receive marketing SMS messages from the restaurant you ordered from.
You can manage your marketing preferences within the restaurant's app at any time. You can also reply STOP to any SMS to unsubscribe.
The restaurant — not Appetite — is responsible for the marketing messages it sends you and for complying with Australian marketing laws (including the Spam Act 2003 (Cth)).
If you have a restaurant's white-label app installed on your device:
Restaurant ordering websites use essential cookies to make the site work — for example, to remember your cart, keep you logged in, and maintain your session. These are required for the site to function and cannot be turned off.
Some sites may also use analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) to help us understand how the site is used and improve it. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites or to deliver advertising to you.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Turning off essential cookies may prevent the site from working correctly.
Card payments are processed by Tyro Payments Limited, a regulated Australian payment processor.
For Apple Pay or Google Pay, your card details are tokenised by Apple or Google before reaching us. We do not receive or store your card numbers.
Your information is stored on infrastructure located in Sydney, Australia, operated by DigitalOcean.
The only information that ever leaves Australia is a non-identifying device identifier (UUID) sent to OneSignal (United States) or Pushy.me for push notification delivery. No personal information is sent outside Australia.
The restaurant determines how long your information is kept. As a guide:
You can ask the restaurant to delete your account or your information at any time (see "Your rights" below).
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
To exercise these rights, please contact the restaurant directly. The restaurant is responsible for your personal information and will work with us if our assistance is needed.
You can also contact us directly at support@appetitepos.com.au if you need help reaching the restaurant or if you have a platform-related concern.
We take security seriously. We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security monitoring. All data is stored within Australia.
While we work hard to protect your information, no system is completely secure. If you become aware of a security issue, please tell us at support@appetitepos.com.au.
If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will work with the restaurant to notify you in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act.
Appetite provides the technology platform that the restaurant uses to take your order. We are not a party to your order with the restaurant.
This means:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited. Nothing in this Policy excludes any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
The Appetite platform integrates with the following third-party services to provide the ordering experience. Where one of these third parties is involved in your order, their own terms apply:
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on the restaurant's app or website, and we will update the "Last updated" date at the top.
Your continued use of the app or website after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
